“A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing.”
The storytelling and publishing market is developing rapidly in the shadow of digitization. Ebooks, audiobooks to interactive books, and all the new distribution- and business models that follow with it. However, remember, like once upon a time, the power of the story is the driving force that selects the empowering and engaging success from a boring showdown.
To be a successful Storyteller, Inspirer and Educator in the Digital World call for taking advantage of the interactivity the technology brings. In this spirit, we developed Storyteller on eLearningworld (SOE) that is a makerspace for interactive books, or rather interaQtive Books. This is a creative environment to take full advantage of interactive features integrated into the digital book format. In order to empower your story by integrating your audience further in the content.
Take the engagement to a new level
Storytelling, Inspiration and Learning, however, basically nothing has changed since high-quality content is the prerequisite for success. What we do, is to help you take your content to the next level with loads of different interactive features. To be able to boost engagement for your existing audience, while also engaging new readers, or rather iReaders by publishing your book in the format of the next generation ebooks. Sounds interesting? Here follows an opportunity!
This weekend the Europeans are voting in the EU-Parliament election, and in this spirit let’s think about Europe. Let’s think about breathing new life into this beautiful continent, to use President Emmanuel Macron’s words. Why not do it with storytelling? What is the next step for Europe? How is Europe’s history impacting the story? What is the vision? “The history of storytelling isn’t one of simply entertaining the masses but of also advising, instructing, challenging the status quo.”, Therese Fowler wrote. So let’s do that!
‘The Lion’ all began with a picture of a faun carrying an umbrella and parcels in a snowy wood. This picture had been in my mind since I was about sixteen. Then one day, when I was about forty, I said to myself, ‘Let’s try to make a story about it.’
C. S. Lewis
